grest!
Great tips presented clearly in under 5 minutes!👏🏻 Thanks!
James, do you prefer (or have an opinion on) rifle handgrips that are straight vertical vs those that are more pistol grip-shaped? I've noticed that on some ELR chassis. They have a handgrip that's exactly straight up and down, with no taper or ergonomic shaping.
Interesting how just a simple way of holding the bag can affect impact. Thanks for the tip sir!
I was practicing with an air rifle a few years ago and tried this. I was taught in school to follow through your shot in basketball. Thinking similar I tried this technique. It really made a difference. I now use it with my powder burners. I called it Trigger Follow Through. Even comes in to play with pistol shooting. When checking or shooting for accuracy and for finding trigger reset .
Great video
I was taught to barely squeeze until it breaks and it should surprise you. If I do that, I cannot hold trigger squeeze. The recoil gun leaves my finger and breaks contact so I cannot continue squeeze like you do. Are you lightly increasing your squeeze or just squeezing quickly once your ready? Only way I can continue squeeze is by squeezing much faster and firmer than I was taught.
Are you pulling the rifle back with you hand? If I'm holding the rifle too lightly then I've experienced the trigger jumping off of my finger too.
Nothing to discuss:just observing and listening and learning-thanks for sharing!
Appreciate your content James.
what cartridge/ammo?
I'm not a hunter, but I want to take these courses if I can get the time off work!! Learning wind calls and angles for precision shooting is key!!
We did them back to back, I think that would be the best way, but that's only my opinion.
Bucket list trip!!! If you're even thinking about going, book it!! Every detail of my experience at Barbour Creek was incredible. Thanks again from your friends up in Canada
Do you recommend time between Levels 1 & 2 or does taking them back to back make sense?
Nice
I love your videos. Had an older gent local here miss a nice buck last season He didn’t know any better and had cleaned his gun and took it hunting right out the gate, no fouling the barrel. I educated him on this issue. Again love your videos keep ‘‘em coming. Thank you for your service too. I too am a 22 year plus active duty service USAF veteran.
Where's the new Tract? I appreciate all your knowledge that you share. I've learned a lot and I'm still learning. I wish I could afford those fancy guns and more ammunition to shoot. 🇺🇸
Make sense! Nice to have turned on the comments.
It looks easier
Keep those tips coming. I forget some of your teaching from disuse. Thanks
In spite of being a reasonably experienced long range shooter, I’m learning allot from you.
Fantastic video as always. You guys are the best
Thanks for the information love your videos man
Great information as always.
All but slope shooting and ranging can be learned by participating in CMP/NRA governed high power rifle competition without need for any electronics. Slope compensation can be calculated with simple calculation from angle cosine chart and ranging via MOA or mil scale reticle ranging formula. Nevertheless, this long range course seems to be as comprehensive as it is excellent.
James is the freakin grand wizard of long range shooting.
So glad Tract scope is being used here. I love my Toric better than my Leupold. Like sitting in the Opthamologists chair " Which one is better" A- Tract , or B- Leupold ?" Now, that would get more guys in to get their eyes chacked!
Just ordered mine today and would love to visit and use your newly designed reticle in the TRACT scope. One day I’ll get a scope like that.
I'm coming one day.
Let me break it down simply 😂😂😂. I need your class.
Very impressive science of shooting. Thank you sir.
Great stuff, thank you
Great content. I'm hopeful you will get the app on androids soon. I found your channel about 1 1/2 years ago while researching the 300PRC. I haven't done any shooting past 550 yards since I was in 29 Palms in the 90s. Last year I bought a rifle specifically to shoot out to a mile. I choose the Trijicon 10 mile, Sig 10 kilo and other gear from watching what you use and reviews. I needed the refresher to get my brain housing group in the right mode...lol My first attempt at 1773 yards was 11 hits out of 20. It took 4 shots to see the trace and splash, then it was on. I'm getting ready to go out to COSSA in Bend Or to shoot it again. Thank you for the great videos.
Curious if you've tried the 30 cal Barnes LRX BORE rider? Unique bullet.
Why are comment off on almost all your videos 😢😢
Always enjoy y’all👍
Good stuff as always 😊
How about a sling rather than bag?
Why are comments off on your videos? You have awesome content, and a little back and forth really helps minus trolls.
Why do you turn off comments love your content. Nice shot!!!
so that's why i usually miss hogs at 200+ yards distance first handful of shots... always had a clean barrel when starting. gonna foul barrel this time.
You guys are allowing comments now?
what scope and brand gun is that
What rifle do y’all use?
What scope are you using
hi, where do I get this bag?
AWESOME! I searched years for footage of "long range" gel-block ballistic tests . Thank you guys! PLEASE do all calibers ;o) Like that content you put out there is UNIQUE GOLD.
Just use a two socket method lol.
Looking for a new modern bullet for my 7mm Weatherby since partitions which it seem are the only bullet people load in this round and they are no where to be found. Would this bullet hold up a 3100 muzzle velocity?
